We strive to make your experience with us a most memorable, safe and successful one. We have been established since the early 1990s as an Alaskan outfitter. We offer fair chase hunts, fishing trips and various other excursions throughout Alaska.

It is very important that your outfitter be knowledgeable in all areas of the planning and implementing of your trip. Certifications for guiding need to be supported with a very solid foundation of experience in all areas of your hunting/fishing/outing adventure. All of this combined will help to provide you with a trip of a lifetime We reside in Alaska year round and know first hand what is required to provide our clients with a full experience of Alaska and it's wonderful wilds. We also work with well established and reputable businesses for your trip logistics within Alaska when needed as well.

meet the hodges

Jim Hodge

Is the definition of a true Alaskan hunting and fishing guide/outfitter. Jim was born and raised in northern New Hampshire. and moved to Alaska in 1995. His enthusiasm and experience with hunting, tracking, trapping and fishing extends back through his childhood years on the east coast.

 

  • This foundation in the outdoor field sports has been integrated with his 26+ years of hunting & fishing throughout the Alaskan frontier. Jim Hodge has his certification as an Alaskan hunting guide and is qualified to be a Master Guide.  Additionally he is a fishing guide and also possesses his Coast Guard Captain's License. Jim is a master of his trade and combines his skills, knowledge and passion to custom fit each adventure to suit an individual hunter or fisherman. Jim is particular about the safety, logistics and the needs of his clients to ensure an enjoyable hunting or fishing adventure.  As he likes to say, "You'll leave Alaska stronger and better looking."

     

  • Cathy Hodge

    • Plays an active role within Hodge's Outfitters office, marketing and the day to day activities within the Litnik Mountain Lodge on Afognak Island and the Nushagak Fish Camp. Cathy was born in central Florida and has resided in Alaska since 1993. She has incorporated her love of the outdoors and people skills into making your stay beyond comfortable. Cathy has been an avid gardener and cook since she was a child. She has hiked through various areas of Alaska, the U.S. and Canada.  Cathy is passionate about horticulture and fitness. Hence she has successfully woven all her skills together to provide you with a stay filled with gourmet dishes, the comforts of home and the diverse knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Alaskan outdoors.
