- Anchorage, Alaska
- There is so much to see and do in and around our home base. We have many suggestions for activities and sightseeing in addition to a Hodge's Outfitters adventure. Our city is spectacular inside and out. Anchorage has been incorporated into nature so you will always be surrounded by the most awesome views enveloped with much culture. The restaurants are plentiful and offer a very wide variety of various local and even international cuisine. The museums offer more history and artifacts of alaskan life then one could ever dream of experiencing.
- Museums and Parks
- The museums in and around Anchorage are numerous. You can experience the full spectrum of the history of Alaska and it's people at the Natural History Museum or the Native American Heritage Center. There is an Aviation museum and even a botanical garden. If you wish to do a day trip there are additional sites, parks and museums north and south of Anchorage in the areas of Seward, Denali, Wasilla, Talkeetna and Fairbanks to name a few. You can visit glaciers, marshes and even catch a glimpse of Alaska's vast wildlife on a simple drive down the Seward Highway through the 3rd largest state park in the U.S. the Chugach State Park and Forest.

Transportation - There are many options for transportation to travel throuout our area. We will help you with specific arrangements needed for guided fishing and hunting trips. We have dealt with well established intra-state flight companies for many years. In addition to our Hodge's Outfitters Adventures travel there are many modes of transportation offered in and around Anchorage. We do advise early booking for the following: car rental, scenic train trips and scenic bus trips. These are available out of Anchorage to/from Fairbanks and Seward. There is also public bus transportation and taxi service available throughout Anchorage as well.
- Shopping
- Never fear, Anchorage is home to most department and specialty stores that you find in most of the larger cities within the lower 48 states. You will also find many stores and shops that cater towards the wide ethnic population of Anchorage, as well as, that of the Inuit Indian and the history of their culture in Alaska.
